Football Club Simulator - FCS 17, at least compared to the genre leader Football Manager, is a fairly bare bones game. While basic features like transfer windows, tactics planning and training regimes are here, the more advanced tactical features which form the lasting appeal of similar games are missing. A number of gameplay aspects are confusing at best and frustrating at worst. Each match played will generally result in a number of players leaving and the supposed ability to maintain their contracts through extra payments seems broken. Offering millions over the asking price for a player will always result in a decline. Training and match commands seem to make very little to no impact, crashes are frequent and the interface is buggy. While Football Club Simulator - FCS 17 costs significantly less than similar titles, the lack of overall polish and content make it a far inferior product in nearly every way.
